It's never a good thing to play Tiger and have him lose. At least my last minute sub Retief Goosen faired well. I still moved up in the overall rankings so I have to call it a success.
This week we have the Zurich Classic. I'm leaving off the duds and sleepers this week because I'm just too busy. I'm sorry, but I AM doing this for free after all. :)
Group A
Steve Stricker - He played really well last week and last year at this event.
Jim Furyk - Same story, great week last week and a good reliable player.
Zach Johnson - Gut feeling. I feel like Zach is going to start rounding into shape very soon so this just might be the week.
Group B
Retief Goosen - Played outstanding last week and looks to be on a roll
Ryuji Imada - Really solid play all year. Not a great finish at this event last year but you have to think he will continue his good play.
Daniel Chopra - Good track record at this event, although I still had a hard time pulling the trigger given his play of late
Anthony Kim - Great talent and good finish last year. I won't play him because his game has been erratic this year but I feel like he could be a contender
Stewart Cink - I think he is playing great golf this year, but after his meltdown a couple of weeks ago I'm not feeling 100% confident. A reliable name but you have to wonder.
Chad Campbell - A big name that is probably a safe middle of the road pick. You just never know when he might have a break out week.
Group C
Tim Clark - Played really well on this course before and good recent play.
Steve Marino - Having a great year. A pretty reliable pick to have a decent week
Kenny Perry - A comfort pick. He won't win but you won't have to worry about him blowing up either.
Frank Lickliter II - Again, good course history and good recent play
Good Luck!!
